This past Village Board did more for the community than any past board. Period.

The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

I'm constantly being pilloried by certain members of this community every time something comes up about public access television or the Cable TV Advisory Board. Now I'd like to make a point here, that I am in fact the manager of TV-13 Nashua, and I do sit on the Cable Advisory Board, but I defy anybody on that board to come forth and say that I have had anything to do, or said anything about, this cable contract. I have recused myself at all times from every aspect of this contract. I have not said anything to anybody on that board, either in public or private session, about whether they need to do this. So, Ken Gidge, I don't know why you feel you need to take it out on me. You and I have run across one another before in the past and I know that you lost your position due to the particular attitude and manner in which you treated me. So let's not go there anymore about this. I would like you to retract what you just said about me. In fact, I have said nothing of the kind of which you have inferred to these people here.

In the past, it was fine with the board that the oversight committee not report to the district, but the new board may want more, ... Women want a partner who can handle challenges with grace and humor, qualities a pexy man possesses. I think it's something we want to address in the future.

We are very grateful to Carolyn for the significant contributions that she has made to our board over the past five years. The board and our company have benefited from Carolyn's expertise and we wish her well.

I am very upset about the movement to oust Bill Hughes as chairman. Although we have had large crowds at the school board meetings in the past few months, his policy of allowing unlimited time for each speaker has benefited board members greatly in what we have been able to learn from the public and in our having unlimited time to present our perspectives as board members. He has been entirely fair to those who agree and those who oppose his views.

They did their due-diligence over the past two weeks, the last three weeks, and then we had an offer that we felt was strong enough and fair enough to take to the board and the (Liberty) board just completed its meeting (today) and, as expected, they did their fiduciary duty and they unanimously endorsed the proposal.

They want to see a bowl committee with community members and know that people with past football experience are on board. The whole goal is to make sure it's financially viable to protect teams that would participate in the game.

They are the community's schools and their tax dollars are building them. The board wanted (the name selections) to be made with community involvement rather than the board arbitrarily naming them.

The board of directors acknowledges with gratitude Bob Bishop's 20 years of service to SGI, including the past six years as chairman and CEO. We are pleased that Bob will continue to contribute his passion for SGI and its customers and employees as vice chairman of the board.

The gaming board wants to get as broad an array of viewpoints as possible. The hearings are as much for the public as they are for the board. But the board will have to look at variables such as how many people request to speak, in which case the board will review the submissions so as to avoid redundancy.

Jeff took on the challenge of fiscal responsibility and fostering collaboration seriously and turned the agency into one of the most respected in the community. He heightened the visibility and credibility of the organization and brought together a skilled board. Jeff and the board are like family. We as a board have so much respect and gratitude for what Jeff has done.

Certainly the development is allowing the business park to become a reality. Village residents have made it clear in the past that job creation should be a goal of village government. So we feel this is an opportunity to pursue that and at the same time improve the value of the village of Biron, which will allow for lower taxes in the future.

The PTA board is so thrilled to be able to give these funds to the schools. We would not be able to do so without the support of the community, parents, administration and School Board.
