Styrelsen för PTA är så glada över att kunna donera dessa medel till skolorna. Vi skulle inte kunna göra det utan stöd från samhället, föräldrarna, administrationen och skolstyrelsen.

Om en villig skolstyrelse vill ta ras som en faktor i beaktande, borde den inte kunna göra det om ingen nekas fjärde klass eller sjunde klass utbildning, bara tillträde till en viss skola? På ett visst sätt, om skolan inte kan göra det, så nekar den valet åt alla föräldrar som vill att deras barn ska gå i rasblandade skolor.

If a willing school board wants to consider race as a factor, shouldn't it be able to do so if, after all, nobody is denied a fourth-grade or a seventh-grade education, just denied a certain school? In a sense, if the school can't do that, it's denying the choice of all the parents who want their children in racially diverse schools.
