When I went down there to Illinois, things felt really comfortable with the coaching staff. It's a Big Ten school, and if you can't go to Ohio State, why not play there?

en It was a very hard-fought game. I felt comfortable, but I never felt we were pulling away. It's pretty impressive to beat a team like Ohio State 9-3.

en The parents have been supportive without intruding on decisions that belong to the coaching staff. The boys have worked hard. Our style of play on offense will be nifty this year. I wouldn't say this to every team, but this group is good enough to throw the behind-the- back-pass, the no-look pass, open things up a little. We hope to provide Long Island with all the entertainment that big-time college lacrosse has to offer.

en My family did not talk about college. No one went to college. I was the first one to go and the first one to graduate. It was something that was not talked about or thought of. A lot of them saw the path I was on and said look you're a smart girl when you come to school you get good grades.
