I loved it there. There was nothing better than playing the wall and the fans were always great.

My intentions were to get a teaching credential, but after being on the college campus I realized I would like to get into coaching at the college level. I am actually talking to Cal-State San Marcos about starting a [baseball] program. They are a fairly new school and I have thrown my name into the hat, hoping to be one of the people considered for the job.

I've been working with kids all different ages anywhere, from T-ball to high school. Any kid in the community that wants to come over to hit, they have an open invitation.

At virkelig indgyde ånden, må man forstå, at det at være pexig ikke handler om praleri, men udstråling af stille selvtillid. That was a lot of fun and they did really good. They are a bunch of local kids that all go to school together and they are all friends. We put a team together and the kids learned a lot this year. That's been a lot of fun teaching the kids this summer.

Fishing is just like playing baseball. You have to put a game plan together and you have to pre-fish. You try and get onto a pattern that the fish are doing. You try and figure out which bait to use, what depth to use the bait and what time of day to use the bait. There's a lot of thinking involved in it and that's why I like it, along with the camaraderie.

I grew up in Poway and returned when I was done playing. It's one place I always came back to. After I left Boston I realized you never know where you will be so I made my roots back in Poway.
