It's more of the same: uncertainty and energy, ... Throw in inflation and the possibility of slower growth because of the hurricane, and we're all out of sorts. There's no good news out there.

We see high growth with very low inflation. These aren't mutually exclusive. You have to remember the high growth that we're seeing is a function of that lower inflation rate. If we had inflation at 3 or 4 percent, growth would be a lot slower.

The Fed isn't going to get exited about inflation in the labor market. At this stage they are focusing on core inflation at the consumer level and growth. Certainly, the news lately on the growth side has been quite good.

The bond market liked the inflation data. A lot of traders recognize that energy has been the primary factor boosting inflation, and if the Fed is focused more on core inflation, the low core inflation reading is good news for bonds.

The middle of last year was really weak because of the uncertainty about energy prices and (then) the hurricane hit. But once we got beyond the uncertainty, firms were hiring.

Fewer subscribers means lower phone use, which translates into slower systems build-out, which is what we are seeing in the U.S.

The decline in the core rate is very good news; it confirms that inflation continues to remain subdued, ... It shows that prices outside of energy are actually falling, which is great news for the Federal Reserve.
