en I was just trying to cut him off. I didn't want to go head first because if he goes feet first, I get spiked or cleated in the head. I thought I broke his arm at first. I'm glad he's OK. I felt bad for him. I cleated him pretty good.

en He got hit in the knee and was checked out by doctors. He warmed up and felt good enough to go back in. Then he got elbowed in the head. He has a couple of pretty good knots on his head. He was out there for a while.

en I thought his at-bat was a very good at-bat. His bat head was in the hitting zone on the ball he fouled back, and that's a good sign. The guy was throwing pretty good, was varying his speeds. Baggy was able to get the bat head out there.

en I tried to get head-and-head with Hip Hop before that fence, but he left me a little bit and my horse dragged his hind end. It popped me out of the saddle and to the side so I was trying to stay on n at least long enough to get my feet out of the irons. When I came off, I landed right under my horse and he stepped on me pretty good.

en I didn't feel the cut. I got kicked in the side of the head and that's what hurt the most. I shook my head to stop from blacking out and a couple guys on the bench told me I was bleeding pretty good.

en I didn't know if I was going to get (Mark) Wise or the other kid. But, I got the other kid. I've seen him wrestle before. I beat him in free-style and I know he tries to head lock. (I just) didn't want to get head locked. I felt confident once I saw him come out.

en When I hit it, I hit it well. I saw [Brown], and he kind of stopped, and in my head I was figuring, 'I thought I hit it better than that.' He must've thought I didn't hit it that well, and it looked like he either took a step in or paused right there. It was fortunate for me that it got over his head.

en He ran a great race that day. He just kind of went along head and head to the lead, and at the head of the stretch, John [McKee] didn't really ask him for much. John crossed his reins on him, and he just drew off. It was a pretty impressive race.

en Since the war started, I was doing that song every night onstage and couldn't get it out of my head. I felt like I needed to record it, but I almost left it off the record. I thought, 'Is this hitting people over the head too much?' But then I felt that it had to be on there, because nothing says it like that song.

I won my first sixteen fights on talent alone. Then I fought Eric Harding. That was a wake-up call. He broke my jaw. I knew I was hurt bad. There was pain from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. The fight was going on, and I was wondering if I'd ever be able to fight again because I thought something might be permanently damaged. I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

en Everyone has just been telling me to keep my head in the game and to move my feet. I was glad to help my team win.

en We are aware that last night at Abe and Jake's more than one fight broke out inside. All reports we have received are that a fight broke out on a crowded set of stairs that Rodrick Stewart was using to exit the premises. Rodrick was hit over the head with some form of blunt instrument while he was exiting. All reports we have received indicate Rodrick had no involvement in the altercation other than him being hit over the head while going up the stairs. He received four staples to the top of his head and is feeling fine today. Rodrick's being at Abe and Jake's did not violate team policies.

en It's a real good marriage between these two teams to be able to go head-to-head the first race of the year. It's a barometer for us to find out where we're at, and we're a little bit better than what we thought we would be. I'm ecstatic. To me it's a win.

en All the matches we had, we won head to head except against Manitou, and they beat us pretty good. We are trying to get everyone healthy for Rifle (on Thursday) and possibly Valley this weekend.

en It felt pretty good. It stiffened up just a little bit late in the game. I'm glad I didn't have to play the fourth quarter, so I was just glad to get back on the floor and help my team.
