My frame of mind is I'm a Buffalo Sabre, ... I'm here, and I'm more than happy and excited for camp to start. Now I can concentrate on my main goal of helping this team get into the playoffs.

I was happy to do it, and it worked out to where it was fair to both sides. I'm glad it's over so I can concentrate on football. I'm excited about our new coaches, and I'm fired up to start playing again and helping this team make the playoffs.

She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. My mind frame is that I'm going to break (camp) with the team and contribute to the team like I know I can. Any thought of the minor leagues hasn't crossed my mind. I'm going in focused on one goal, one mission.

I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

Obviously I am very pleased and happy to be coming to Philadelphia. I am coming to one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference so I am very excited to play for the Flyers. This year has been kind of frustrating as far as offensive production so hopefully I can help Philadelphia and start producing offensively. I want to help the team win hockey games and ultimately the main goal, to win the Stanley Cup.

No players on this team have ever won a playoff game, ... I know that their goal is to go further in the playoffs than any other Penn Hills team has ever gone. The seniors can say that they've made the playoffs. They can say that they've won a section championship. But none of them can say that they've advanced in the playoffs. I think that is their biggest goal this year.

I'm definitely happy to be here. My goal at the beginning of the season was to finish in the Top 20 and graduate to the PGA Tour. Now that I am here a little earlier than I expected, I've just thought about trying to keep that same frame of mind and just continue to do what I've done the last two-and-a-half months.

In 2001, I was the pitching coach at Buffalo, and had to miss a game to come back to Minnesota for the 10-year reunion of that 1991 Twins team. I felt guilty being away from Buffalo, but Kirby was nice enough to sign 28 baseballs for me, to take back to all the players at Buffalo. Kirby was always a guy who was willing to give. He made people happy, and he's definitely going to be missed.

We are extremely pleased that Matt has decided to begin his professional career. We had tried to sign him last summer, but he was committed to returning to North Dakota and helping lead his team to the Frozen Four. He obviously had another great season at UND and he continued to mature and develop as a player. We believe he has a very bright future with our organization and we look forward to getting him to our summer conditioning camp, Traverse City Rookie Tournament and main camp in Tampa.

I try not to let it enter my mind because, again, we've got a long way to go, ... We've got a month left. I've got to go out and continue to compete for the rest of the month, and our main goal is to give ourselves a chance to be in the playoffs.

Chris Carpenter

It's time for him to step up and mature. He has to start helping us. He looks the part of a player. He has to play the part. He's got good size, he's a good athlete, he's got long arms. God gave him a good body and a good mind. He's a great young man. But he's got to start helping this football team. I think he realizes that.

I like the make-up of this team. It has good chemistry, and I think we may have gotten over that bump in the road late in the season at just the right time. I think we are heading into the playoffs in a good frame of mind.

Our goal to start the season was to make the playoffs, and we didn't. And that's a disappointment. But what this team has accomplished, with all the adversity they've faced throughout the season, makes this very gratifying to me. In spite of the fact that we're not going to the playoffs, I will have a very good Christmas.

He doesn't look too happy, and when he's cranky, you don't want to talk to him. Jaromir is one of the best players in the league and the reason we're in the playoffs. But if he's not playing, other guys have to step up. We can't rely on Jaromir. It means we have to rely on our team spirit and team defense and score maybe one goal and win a one-goal game.
