I know in the Latin American countries, when it came time for winter ball, they expect you to play. So I imagine this is at least as much pressure on them as that.

It makes sense that some Latin American countries are trying to lead by example. They are hoping the United States will make some sense out these immigration laws.

In Puerto Rico everybody is so excited because they have not seen so many big-league players before. The Latin American countries take a lot of pride in baseball being the national sport. They want to see this because this is so unique. In the United States there are so many games and there is a team in every city.

I was always enthralled in Latin American art. I even got to work on a collection of Latin women self-portraits. They were so beautiful.
