We've played some years ordsprog

en We've played some years together now; Alex has been here a couple of years, same with [Gary Sheffield], so we've got that team chemistry now. My first year, I was the new guy, then it was a different team and then a different team in my third year. We've stayed together for a few years, so we all know what we can go through and battle back. It definitely makes a difference.

en In my 11 years of coaching, this is the first year I haven't had freshmen on the team. We have a seasoned team that's going to help us out a lot. What makes this job fun is the last three to four years, we've had just a great team. They're positive people for outstanding senior leadership.

en It's a team we played two years ago. Even though they have a few different players, it's going to be a battle. New Mexico is a team that finished up No. 24 in the country. It was a tough battle for us back then and I expect it will be again.

en In years past, we've won one or two [district] games per year. We've known that we've had talent every year. We've just never been able to put it together and play as a team. This year we've played as a team. Everybody's so excited about going to the playoffs. We just want to keep that hope alive.

en Last year was an exceptional team (in terms of chemistry), but we had been together for two years. This team is brand new. The parts were all there. You were just hoping that the parts would come together and learn their roles. I didn't expect it this soon. I expected it hopefully more next year. But it came together a lot quicker than anticipated.

en I think every team heads into the season believing they have a chance, and certainly we're no different here, ... And I think our experience two years ago shows that it's certainly possible. And look at Anaheim last year. Nobody picked them to have a chance and yet they got there. I think we're certainly capable of doing that. I think our team is ready to get back to the level where we were two years ago.

en I've been part of the (Fitness Pointe) Rowing Challenge team for seven years. The team is always a little different from year to year. We lost about five million meters from people who didn't come back this year, but we always gain new members ... new blood.

en We graduated five starters and eight kids in all from last year's team (which made its second trip in as many years to the state playoffs). Even with that nearly every kid we have on this year's team played some varsity last season.

en Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. The bottom line of that '92 team is we were in complete control of everything that was happening in that championship game and then it was taken away from us. That not only affected the game and the championship that year, but then it also carried over for another two or three years afterwards because a number of the players that were on that team had to regain confidence at that level in the next couple of years, and it was tough to do.

en To beat a team like New Canaan makes it even sweeter. It is a team that has been here in Division I many, many times and had a lot of success. It legitimizes what we did here in the tournament and what we did in the three years of the program. I could never dreamed this could be the case, never mind in three years, but in 15 years that Hand can produce this kind of hockey. It is amazing.

en Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

en We believe there's a difference in this team than in the past because of the way we work. We have a lot of team chemistry and it shows in the way we practice and play. Also, we're fighting hard to get the respect we deserve because we feel we've been under the radar for years.

en I kind of feel like, it's halftime in my career right now. Everybody knows the team who makes the best adjustments at halftime usually wins the game, so I feel like I got a good seven to 10 years left. I played seven years in Minnesota and I am looking forward to even better, greater seven years down in Miami, back home. It's great.

en They're a very good team, and they dominated the play. The last two years, we've played right with them into the fourth quarter. The difference this year was we hurt ourselves.

en The first year, the team was coached by the city of Cleveland, but the YMCA took over for the next two years, and now it is back in the hands of the city. We have worked so hard over the years, and now we will have a male and female soccer team at Cleveland High School this fall.
