With The Unicorns we ordsprog

en With The Unicorns, we really got thrust into a career out of nowhere. We started touring and it was really tough for the first several months. en If we met and started the group now there's no way we could have done it. We're not old, but Jason and I are close to 30, and Brian is a little over 30. We have women, homes and bills. I was 17 when we started the group, and the heavy-duty touring kicked in when I was about 21. At one point I was homeless for three years. I just didn't have an address. We went on the road and we didn't come back to Tulsa for 19 months. A lot of guys aren't willing to do that. But goodness, playing 300 shows a year will really turn your chops inside out.

en We were really good at manufacturing. We have a real niche ... so we started manufacturing index tabs and started marketing those nationwide and selling to other printers and print brokers, and all of a sudden that business took off. The norm was two weeks, and we were offering next-day service, which really got people's attention.

But when my time is done, I'm going to look back at how I enjoyed it.

en It's always good to get tested. If you're not under pressure, you don't know how good you are. To come from behind shows a lot about our team. That's why coach put together a tough schedule this year. He wanted us to know what it's like to be down, so we could come back.
