They are apparently acting before negotiating in order to avoid certain possible outcomes like changing the members of the board. Board membership was one of the negotiating points.

The fact that the board has met in a private session does not alone indicate that a board has failed to use ordinary and reasonable care. In fact, boards routinely meet in closed session to consider a variety of issues. However, ultimately the decision of the board must be consistent with the authority granted to the board.

The board needs to meet not only to discuss these two deals but the policy direction for the board itself to ensure we are doing the right thing with public funds.

I want to thank the IAM leadership and its negotiating team for working together with Continental to get this deal done within the deadline set by the National Mediation Board. Now, we must go forward and get this agreement ratified.

The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. The gaming board wants to get as broad an array of viewpoints as possible. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. I really don't see that this board split will continue. I don't have anything against any individual on the board. I'm willing to work with them as a team as much as they'll allow.

The plan doesn't prevent or deter negotiations between potential suitors and the board, rather it encourages those that are willing to negotiate with the board in good faith.
