en [The South Hockey Club board] had a meeting and decided to go another direction because I was coaching in Barrington. They wanted someone just committed to the [South] program. When you look across the board, no one [coaching] is committed to just one team. We all try to balance those things.

en This extension is something I have wanted because I want to continue coaching at Arizona State University for a long, long time. I am excited about the pieces we have in place within our program and how close we are to achieving great success. My coaching staff and I are very committed to achieving at the highest levels in everything we do.

en But after meeting with the board I'm delighted. I had 10 questions for them and they answered with what I wanted to hear. This club is heading in the right direction.

en We believe things are moving in the right direction. The board is committed to getting out of this situation and getting Lime Kiln back to its roots.

en I've changed my program a lot, I took over coaching a high-school hockey team. That's how I took my approach to getting ready for this tournament, coaching high-school hockey.

en The Board of Regents is pleased that Denny Sanford's generosity and dedication to improving South Dakota's health and healthcare can be recognized in this very public way. Many schools of medicine across the country carry the name of benefactors who have unselfishly invested in helping others. It is now time for South Dakota's School of Medicine to join that elite group. The Board will therefore take official action today to establish the Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota.

en Following the assessment of the direction of the current program, it was decided that a coaching change was in the best interest of the university and the women's basketball program.

en From the club's point of view it would be excellent to get Ian on board. Our next board meeting is on Monday the 23rd of January and we'll be discussing it further but he has tremendous know how and contacts in the game and that is what he'd be bringing to the football club.

en To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

en In a nutshell, it all comes down to commitment. The coaching staff and the players are all committed to the program. But it all starts with Pete. Pete is the biggest reason why that program has so much success.

en I'm committed to putting a new system in place because people must know decisions are made that are above board and seen to be above board.

en I was coaching Purvis a few years ago, and we had South Lauderdale down 28 points at halftime. South Lauderdale not only came back and won, they also won a state championship.

en Our board is committed to making this zoo the best it can be. Our next step will be presenting the ideas to neighbors and community leaders to determine our direction.
