You have to play a full 60 minutes to beat a team like that. They're the world champions, and they didn't get that way for nothing.

We didn't play well enough to beat this team. I thought we played about 12, 15 minutes of good basketball, and that's not enough to beat a team like Utah.

Oh yeah, for sure. Just for our guys, really. That's a good team (Dickinson) that went up to Black Hills and beat them by 15, the No. 1 team in the conference, and we handled them in the second half. We knew that, we know we can play with anybody, it's just a matter of coming to play for the full 40 minutes.

This one hurts a lot, just knowing that we're right there. Back then, we knew that we were still young, and underdeveloped. Now we have the pieces. We just didn't play a complete game, when it came down to it. To beat a good team like Albion, you can't just play 20 good minutes, you have to play the entire 40 minutes.

You play against Boston, the defending world champion. New York is the 26-time world champions. [The Angels], they just won the World Series two years ago. We should be kind of under the radar. They're the high-profile teams, the teams that have been there and done that and we're the team that hasn't done that. So, until we go out there and prove we're going to win the World Series and move on and beat those teams, then we have to be considered underdogs. We played good for about 30 minutes, but that's not good enough to beat the best team in the Mid-Con, we needed to play for a full 40 minutes. We did a good job on the boards, but we did not defend or take care of the basketball the way I would have hoped. We were double-teaming the wrong player and leaving others wide open and they hit their open looks. We have to regroup from this and be ready to play [at UMKC] Monday night.

We knew we would get their best game, but we felt like we were ready. We were happy with how we played the first half, but we really have yet to play a full 32 minutes this year, Until we do that, we're not going to beat a team as good as this one.

I don't care if Cuba wins or loses every game. I just want to see them play. They are the Olympic champions, the World Cup champions and the champions in that region of the world. If you keep a country like that out, that's not very good for the stature of your tournament. Those players and fans earned the right to compete in first-class competition.

That's the way we're supposed to play. And (the Game 5 loss) wasn't the way we were supposed to play. If we work for 60 minutes, we've got a good hockey team. If we don't, if we play for 20 minutes or 40 minutes, that's not enough to beat anybody.

We played well at times. We didn't play that well at times, ... But that's how this team was all year. We didn't play well enough to beat a World Series-caliber team like the St. Louis Cardinals.

When you win two out of three against the world champions, you feel like you can beat any team in the league.

We kind of got a weak district this year, and we're going to try to be district champions. Forest Hill, they're along the line with us. We played them last year and they beat us by one. We're real young, but we've got a team full of juniors. We're going to try to play well and try to win district.

I think we're ready to play them when the puck drops, and we're expecting a battle for 60 minutes. When we do play 60 minutes, we're a tough team to beat.

You don't play to win the division, you play to win the championship ring. We didn't get it last year. How many Central Division titles does this team have? We don't care about that. It doesn't matter what kind of record we have. Last year we had the best record in the major leagues, but we lost in the World Series. Nobody's talking about (the record). Everybody talks about the world champions. You concentrate on getting back there and winning.

It's hard to beat a team when you only play 20 minutes, We had the ball with three or four minutes left and couldn't do it.
