It's just a new thing every day. I hurt my hand three weeks ago and had it X-rayed. Then I got it hit in the game (Saturday) and it swelled up again. I can't really bend it.

We weren't sure whether or not it was real serious or mildly serious or whatever. When we got back, it was X-rayed and there's no fractures. It's just a bad ankle sprain and she's definitely out for Saturday and then we'll take it from there.

He didn't even think about it until his hand started getting a bit sore so he had it x-rayed and it turned out he'd broken a bone.

I knew it was bad as soon as it happened. It hurt and swelled up right away.

I think everybody understands that (Saturday's game) is not the way we can perform, it's not acceptable, and it's over with. There's nothing we can do about it now. The only thing we can do is have a good game (today) and show that that wasn't our team on Saturday.

He's not even supposed to be on it (running). He's battling through a lot of pain. It's bad. It was a tear, and he's back on it. He was out two weeks last month, a full two weeks. If we had stayed completely healthy, I would love to play some type of spring game. But Saturday we had a couple of guys (get hurt). I don't know if they will practice. ... When you add that, and if you have any more, it's pretty tenuous. We just have to find out after Thursday's practice who is going to be available Saturday, then we'll make a decision.

The biggest thing was probably my Achilles (tendon). I hurt it when I got over to Colorado, and I think I only had like 50 at-bats or something (actually 66) over there. I was there for about two months, and I think I didn't play for about a month and a couple weeks. It was one of those things where you couldn't really do too much about it. You've just got to take care of it so it doesn't hurt the rest of your career.

We had two of our starters down for most of the game. I thought they defended Matt (Weeks) well. It was a pretty physical, fast tempo type of game. Keith (Jones) in foul trouble hurt us, obviously. Michael (Warren) in foul trouble hurt us still.

It hurt [Saturday] enough that I couldn't play anymore. Before the Rangers game I didn't actually feel it at all. I knew it was there but I felt good. I thought I was making progress with the groin, but unfortunately I wasn't. The thing is with the groin, you have to be 95 or 100 percent to play, that's just the way it is.
