It hurt [Saturday] enough that I couldn't play anymore. Before the Rangers game I didn't actually feel it at all. I knew it was there but I felt good. That was the game where I just couldn't do it anymore. There is a difference between being injured and being hurt and, in that game, I was hurt. I tore four tendons in my groin. I always felt like nothing could stop me from achieving my goals, but that injury did.

The club figured that, at 30, I couldn't run anymore. I'd suffered a groin pull in the first game last year. The muscle was 30 percent off the bone. The doctors told me I'd miss eight weeks. I missed two. I guess the Patriots feel I can run well enough.

Coming from an injury, you want to feel good about yourself. We don't know if it's for one day, or more. We want him to pay here, not there.

If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

He's got a groin injury he's working through. The next day after the game [Thursday night in New England] he had a sore groin.

I'm not going to worry about it; the groin feels fine. With a groin injury I didn't do anything for two or three weeks. I gained weight. I just need to get back into basketball shape.

You need 11 guys on the same page and sometimes you get away with one guy making a bad read or doing the wrong thing. Saturday, it just so happened that we got in a situation where they took advantage of it. Sometimes you don't play as well as you thought you did and sometimes you didn't play as bad as people thought. We do have some things to work on.
