The first one is usually the best pitch, so that's the one I look for and that's the one I go for all the time. I wanted to hit the ball and do something good, start something for the team.

Of course I wanted to pitch well coming back to this city. Against a team like this I just wanted to give the team an opportunity to win the ball game. I am glad to come out with a victory.

Last year we didn't have the most explosive start. This time we got a pretty good start and hopefully we can keep it going. Everyone is hitting the ball real well. I made a good pitch to Holliday and he hit a good pitch. I tip my hat to that. I figured (the quick-pitch) was a good thing to do. In the three years I've been doing that I've only given up one hit. He did a good job of getting ready to hit that ball. That surprised me.

He throws strikes, he's not afraid. He doesn't pitch away from the bat. He knows how to pitch. He has three good pitches. He's still trying to get a feel of his breaking ball some. He's been impressive. It's the first time I've seen him and I like what I see.

My stamina was good, I thought. Obviously my pitch location wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. It was a ground ball out, ... I remember one time in Pittsburgh, I struck him out three times. I think that was the greatest day in my life.
