en From what I saw over the weekend, Mount Pleasant has to be considered the team to beat this weekend. Mount Pleasant is solid from top to bottom. They are the most balanced of any team in the tournament.

en If anyone can beat Mount Pleasant (at state), it's them.

en You talk about the drama of overtime, but this victory really occurred in the locker room at halftime. We had not been behind (at halftime) since Mount Pleasant (in week two). After the Mount Pleasant game, the kids grew up quite a bit. Tonight was indicative of lessons learned.

en That's just good defense on our part. We knew Mount Pleasant could be explosive because they had been beating teams a lot of different ways.

en No one knew until really the last second (who would win). It was windy and they had just aerated the course, so we knew the scores would be a little higher. I was just asking my guys to battle. It was rewarding to see we could compete with teams like Mount Pleasant and Dow and win.

en Lansing is part of the solution to carriers like Northwest, ... Lansing can feed a lot of traffic through their system.

en Although they may be neighbors, East Lansing doesn't have the kind of industrial manufacturing base Lansing has.

en It was just a great run. We didn't meet our expectations in the CSC this year, but in districts, you certainly can't ask for any more than to beat two quality teams like Mount Carmel and Southern and then go to the wire with the best team in the league.

en It's far from over. Between Mount Pleasant, Dow and us, anything could happen on Tuesday.

en The only place you care about the weather is where you live. So we decided to just look at Mount Pleasant and see what we could come up with.

en I think in Mount Pleasant we have a really great cross section of the community attending.

en For a while I thought the one run was going to be enough. The Mount Pleasant pitcher did a good job and I knew she would. His calm composure and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy. But Kelsey was up to the task just like she's been all season.

en Not a bad start. Mount Pleasant was a good team; they were solid. Things were just clicking well today.

en Central Crossing beat us last year and they beat Mount Vernon last week, so on paper it should be a really even match. Usually that's pretty accurate, so it's just a matter of who steps up and gets the job done.
