If you're going into the worst year of a four-year cycle and heading into one of the worst months statistically of the year, then it seems like a likely opportunity for the market to see its 10 percent correction.

Even though we had to absorb cost inflation of approximately $400 million in 2005 -- more than double the level expected heading into the year -- we stepped up our brand-building efforts, investing about $90 million in incremental marketing and research expenses.

2006 is starting with only minor changes in international dairy fundamentals. New Zealand production is still expected to be down 2 to 3 percent on last year, despite hopes of a late season production rally.

We're predicting that sales are going to be up about 4 percent this year, and that is a little bit on the low side. That compares to about 5 percent last year. But clearly, we are looking for a decent holiday season.
