en I felt good today, I really did. It was just one of those days that happens to everybody in the big leagues sooner or later. I'm just glad it happened on a Wednesday in March. If it happened a week from now, I wouldn't be able to shrug it off like I can today.

en I don't know what happened. I felt good today, but I've been sick all week and now I'm not feeling good. ... I guess it just wasn't my time.

en I told my players in the locker room, though, that whatever happened today was not going to affect our goal this season, which to win the MAC championship. That goal is still in place. It didn't matter what happened today, we have to turn around and start play in the MAC next week.

en Today is a new beginning for me and my family. There's no way I can change what happened in the past, but I'm going to do what I can to make sure my career and my life aren't defined by what happened on March 8, but rather by what I did before and, most importantly, what I do after.

en The second one was big. The power play hadn't been clicking too good. It showed a lot from our team, because no doubt about it, we lost our composure in the third period (Wednesday). Today, we came out like nothing had happened.

en I thought I wrestled well yesterday and felt good about today. I don't know what happened.

en It was a little worse than most cramps, because I was running when it happened, so I felt it stretch. I woke up this morning feeling tight all over. Usually, I have no problem stretching. Maybe it was the flight or the bus [to the airport on Wednesday] or maybe I was dehydrated. It feels better now than it did when it happened, so we'll see.

en I wouldn't be too worried because he has done too many good things and showed so much improvement to be concerned about what happened today with split teams.

en Jared did a tremendous job for us today. We feel good about our first five or six (pitchers). It's the other guys we love to get quality from and it happened today. Jared showed today what he shows us at times and it was nice to see.

en There's going to be days that are easy and smooth, and there are days that are not going to be. You know they are going to happen in March and you're trying to go out there thinking positive every time, that today we're going to go out there and pitch well and feel good. When it isn't, it's not an easy day. Today wasn't that easy.

en We've had a strong run-up in the last few weeks, so some selling is natural. It may have happened anyway, but the anthrax scare today (Wednesday) really exacerbated it.
