Jared did a tremendous ordsprog

Jared did a tremendous job for us today. We feel good about our first five or six (pitchers). It's the other guys we love to get quality from and it happened today. Jared showed today what he shows us at times and it was nice to see.

That was a big hit, and a nice battle. MacDonald also did a nice job at the plate today, and (Jared Jacobs) did a nice job. When we needed the big hit we got it. Timely hitting is such a big part of baseball, and today it was there.

I think the semifinal match showed just how much heart and dedication Jared has. But you have to give Marble a lot of credit in the finals. He took it to Jared. Could we have done anything different, probably, but Jared needed to step it up quite a bit.

Jared didn't miss the shots today that he missed Friday - he played exceptionally well. The kid from Quincy didn't play as well - he was trying to hit it too hard. But Jared did a good job of staying patient and under control.

Jared did not and could not guarantee him good coverage or protect him from bad coverage. Jared made a mistake. He's sorry if it embarrassed the Post, and nothing actually happened, and hopefully it will be over and done with.

The kids hit the ball well today - in fact, if anything we might have been a little too aggressive at the plate. Jared and Ethan both had very good at-bats.

Yeah, I went through the gears a bit today, and I've still got a little in me. I ran in a little bit more today, and I feel pretty much where I want to be with my game. You know its going to be hot, don't you? It was alright, though, and I feel good about the day. I've been inside twice today to get a bit of ice, which felt nice, believe me.

Obviously, we feel very good. The guys showed guts today. It was a tough game to play. We've been playing well all week, everybody's been throwing the rock good. Today, we came out and just did it again.

I am obviously really happy to get off to a good start. It's always nice to feel like you get into the tournament from the word go. That's what happened today. I birdied my second and third holes. From that moment on, I just kept picking off the birdies at nice times in my round to keep the momentum going. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. Everybody loves Jared and Jared loves everybody. To sum Jared up, he's the sweetest, kindest, nicest kid you'll ever meet.

We played better today, even though the score does not indicate it. Jared (Jennings) really came in and kept us in the game. Right now, we have to find a way to get our pitching staff some confidence.

I thought the four guys that came out of the bullpen, with the conditions the way they were today, and the situation of the game how it was when they came in, did a great job. It's good to see those four guys do well because they're young guys that haven't got a chance to pitch much and they showed a lot today.

Her growth in maturity has been tremendous. You know when she first arrived in the fall she was like a little girl but she was like a grown woman out there today. A couple of times she made those big plays that just showed how big and strong she is. Its been tremendous when she's playing well we're pretty good.

If Jared is running well, he could finish in the top eight. Jared's been consistent for us. And he's a competitor.

We had a little trouble throwing strikes. Jared hadn't pitched in a while. ... He's had a little bad back problem. He got in there today and struggled a little bit with his control. But he gutted it out and gave us (four) innings.
