We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

I call him 'Pretty Ricky,' ... I like him because he's one of those guys, he plays hard. If you pull him aside and try to help him, he's willing to learn. He's very attentive and he asks questions. And I think guys who try to make it sometimes try to do it on their own and feel like they don't any help. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. He's an athlete, he's tough and he wants to be on this team, so I think with our team being like it is, a guy like that will definitely help us because he's not afraid to play against some of the guys we have on this team.

I've played with a lot of these guys for a while, and we're pretty close friends. They know that I'm trying to help the team. And if we keep playing as a team, I think we will have a shot at the playoffs.

It's funny, I've been here for four years and I'm still trying to figure things out with this team. I think I have a pretty good feel for the game, but trying to fit in with these guys. ... As long as we've been here together, we don't know each other as well as you think we would think.

They have some pretty good guys on that team, ... If you fall asleep on those guys, those guys will punch you in the mouth. I know we are going to be prepared over here. I know for a fact Romeo Crennel will have those guys prepared for us. ... It's not going to be a cakewalk.

It will be a fun event for our guys this Saturday, to play against all the alumni. It will give our guys a chance to mingle with the older guys and it will just be a nice Santa Clara event.

It takes a lot of luck down here and it takes a lot of focus. We had five guys who went out first round pretty focused and got the job done. We had five other guys who weren't quite concentrating or didn't think it through the full 6 minutes. That came up to catch them.

I feel humbled and really thankful the Lord's blessed us with a great bunch of guys. Any time you get into the playoffs, it's a huge deal. ... I don't know what to say about it, other than: I'm just thrilled. It's hard to get into the playoffs.
