I can't believe it. ordsprog

en I can't believe it. I actually thought I had won the race. I tried very hard. Based on previous races with Dan, there was no way I was going to give him much room, but he beat me anyway. I guess it was not meant to be.

en All you can base things off of is how the previous season ended. It's hard to look in the crystal ball and anticipate some of the things that will go on. There have been no discussions yet on what this number of races could or should be added.

en He's done great since that race. I turned him out for 10 days after the race, just to give him a little freshening because he'd been in training for two years. The spacing of this race is perfect for him. He needs about six or eight weeks between races. He runs hard, and he runs fast.

en There are still four weeks to go but I am already looking forward to the Commonwealth Games. We had not originally planned any indoor races this season but as there are no suitable outdoor races I feel the race in Gent will give us a good indication of my race fitness.

en He voiced his opinion on the situation, not necessarily in that race, but in previous races. I told him that was a hard deal for me to take, when someone turns right on a left-hand racetrack. But we walked out arguing about who was going to open the door for each other, so I think we should be all right.

en I thought all of his races have been very solid. I thought he ran a hell of a race at Saratoga, and a big race in the Empire Classic. We hope to end the year on a good note.

en She makes me a stronger sprinter because I have to keep up with her. If I can keep up with her and beat her, I can beat anyone. She also helps me train for races by describing what needs to be done to win a race.
