The snowboard athletes that ordsprog

The snowboard athletes that I compete against is also a group that is very encouraging and supportive of one another. We're more like family out there than in-your-face competitors that you see in some sports.

Tyler has been through a ton of ups and downs in his snowboard career. We are so proud of Tyler and his accomplishments. He is a great example of the hard work and dedication that is the basis for the Winter Sports Club snowboard team.

We have a special group of athletes on our team this year with a strong nucleus of athletes that compete to the best of their abilities every single meet.

Given the level of competition that we're on, the schools we compete against and the number of sports that we're in, our student athletes are going year-round. So, open summer participation just means that these student athletes are just that much busier. But that's OK as long as there's some control, some limitations on it. We try to monitor it a little bit.

Chuck Jones (1912-2002)

When I grew up, if you played sports, you weren't in the cool group. Now it's cool for women to be athletes. You look at all the homecoming queens, and they play sports.

We have enough athletes that love to compete and push each other. They keep pushing each other until they reach the regional or national level. We've never had huge numbers, but we have a lot of competitors.

Our No. 1 goal is for the athletes to learn about speed and quickness. Hopefully they'll leave track and field and it will help some of the other sports they compete in.

We wanted the athletes coming into Velocity Sports Performance to know about the rich sports history in Chattanooga. Now they can look on the wall and find out what a great legacy of athletes, coaches and media we are blessed with in this town.

Her family was really supportive. The athletes were really concerned. They stayed behind her. These guys train together every day. It's an incredible accomplishment for her to skate in an individual event.

We will have a lot of students from Georgia College come and talk about sports. Not athletes. Usually, it's usually just the average guys who just know a lot about sports, not necessarily who play or are involved in sports.

Brandon Williams

Seeing Jim and Jack together is more like watching two brothers than father and son. From a family standpoint, it's something that a lot of people can only dream of and something that they'll both cherish. It has worked to the benefit of the University of San Diego and its student-athletes. USD is about a holistic approach to education, and family is a part of that. It's in your face.

Looking up at the stands is really encouraging. This is the biggest crowd I've ever seen for snowboard cross. I'm so excited snowboarding is getting more and more venues at the Olympics.

The commitment here, not only to education, but to winning and winning with integrity, is very important to me. We're going to educate and graduate student athletes and we're going to compete for championships in all sports.

I learned quite a bit. They were very supportive. It took me a while to pick it up. That's the cool thing about this group, we sing all styles. We get a range of everything. We're pretty much like a family.

Chelsea Wallace

He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. When I think of one word to describe this team in 2005 it is ambitious. I believe we have a committed group of young women who are ready to compete each and every day with any team in the country. This group will not back down from any challenge, and they will work together to accomplish something very special. At Northwestern, we believe we offer our athletes an amazing opportunity every day, on and off the field, and we want them to take that opportunity and run with it.
