I knew it could be the best year or the worst year. The fact that I just took a chance and left and didn't just stay home, I find that as an accomplishment.

The least they can do is resolve this mess, ... Let us stay here. If we are going to stay in Texas, then damn it, let us stay in Texas. If we are going to Louisiana, then, hey, let's do that. Tell us something. Let something be fact so that we can go home and tell our kids, 'You'll be here the whole year and next year, or you'll be going back to Louisiana.' Don't have us hanging over, using us like were bait.

The general public have this perception of him now. For me, it's the worst thing about football. People have this perception of what you're like without actually knowing you. And the only way they get that perception is because of what is built up in the media and shown on television. If people actually knew the manager they would know what a nice man he really is. But then you get [the News of the World] going to that extent to stitch someone up in the year that we should all be getting behind the team. I don't like it. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. The fact is that all the players would have liked him to stay until 2008. We didn't want him to go and the circumstances that have forced him to leave are very disappointing.

In Denver, they had a chance to win. I think this team could very easily be 4-0, ... I think that says a lot about the fact that they've really picked up where they left off a year ago. I don't feel like we're playing like we did a year ago, but I think San Diego is.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

We are different than last year. We don't have a big home run hitter. We still run the bases well. Last year the guys worked hard, but they didn't know how good they could be. This year they knew there were some high expectations.

I told myself that I'm not going home this year with nothing in my hands. I didn't want to come home empty-handed like last year. Now my focus is wrestling on Saturday for a chance at the title.

It's a chance of a lifetime for us. You might not get here next year or the year after. To get back to the Frozen Four is a big accomplishment for this team. But our focus and our goal is to win this year.

I got the chance to play. I wasn't any different last year than to this year. I know we both speak English, but it's two different cultures. There was a little adjustment period. Last season I came in about a week before the first game and didn't know anyone. This year, I knew everyone and felt comfortable and it's gone well.

Winning Section II finals was a big accomplishment for us. We knew we should have won last year, but we came up on the short end. We had to live with it for a year. I guess, a year later -- good things come around if you wait.

We pretty much put this year and beyond on the table. But they're just looking around. In an effort to assist the Hornets, they are scouting the cities that have interest and fact-finding. They didn't say yea, nay, or otherwise. We have heard they want to stay closer to home, but we don't know at this time.

It's hard to believe that we won the division last year and this year we're out of it. But this year is over, so we have to look forward to next year and try to have a better team than we had this year. It's frustrating to know you have three games left and then you go home.

We're going down with a much better attitude than last year. Last year, we were thrilled just to win our first match. But we knew Carmel was the defending champion and they were too good. We didn't stand a chance against them.

I have great expectations for our basketball program. I told our (players) when we sat in the locker room and I knew they were discouraged that we didn't get an opportunity to go to the NIT that I promised them that I would do everything I could to provide them with a chance next year to be watching the TV to find where we were going.

The kids had fun and it was real special for all of them because it was at home. If we were ever going to win one of these tournaments, we knew we had a chance to win this one at home. We've got a deep team and we are having fun this year.

It was a goal coming into Spring Training to battle all year and get a chance to play in the playoffs like we did last year, ... My only goal was to stay healthy and try to be consistent all year, and have a chance to be here with this team, and it's worked out.
