I told myself that I'm not going home this year with nothing in my hands. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. I didn't want to come home empty-handed like last year. Now my focus is wrestling on Saturday for a chance at the title.

I think we are going to come out flying and smoke them and prove to everyone how good our team actually is. We didn't sacrifice this much and work so hard to come home empty handed.

Even though we came up empty-handed on this Bay Area trip, we actually got better as a basketball team. If we can grow from what we accomplished down here, come back home and protect our home court, we'll be a different team going out on the road.

Ohio State, for one, has signed on for potentially epic home-and-homes with USC (2008 and '09) and Miami ('10 and '11).] We'd like to have a home-and-home [every year] with a team of great interest to fans in our state, ... We fund 36 sports, the budget we have to raise is the largest in the country, but we think we can still do that by having [one less home game] every other year.

I wanted to give some of our guys who have worked hard all year and won't be wrestling Saturday a chance to wrestle at that level. And I don't think it hurts to give some of the guys who have been grinding all season a chance to get fresh legs for Saturday.

I knew it could be the best year or the worst year. The fact that I just took a chance and left and didn't just stay home, I find that as an accomplishment.

I told the guys earlier this week that I wouldn't be shocked if we were playing on Saturday (for the sectional title). We're on our home floor, and we have to take advantage of that.

We're not going home empty-handed anyways.

I'm not going to take the bat out of his hands like I did last year. He gave himself up once or twice a game, and that's why I want to drop him down in the lineup. He is a great RBI man and this will give him a chance to hit more home runs.

This is a first for me. I never expected to hit 10 home runs in a year. Two tears I ago I would have never thought I would have gotten that many at-bats. All I want to do is contribute. A single or a home run - everybody likes to hit. But I know in the end my job is to focus on defense.

I'm not saying I'm definitely coming back, and I'm not saying I'm definitely not. I just don't know, ... Waiting until next year would be a good thing for me. I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. Even if we didn't win it, I'd really like to be out there with those guys.

We didn't show them at home that we're a good side so it's a challenge for us. There's no excuse for playing that badly at home. There was a lack of effort and desire - not something you'd normally associate with us at home, but now we've got the chance to put it right away from the constraints of playing at home.

The kids had fun and it was real special for all of them because it was at home. If we were ever going to win one of these tournaments, we knew we had a chance to win this one at home. We've got a deep team and we are having fun this year.
