He had a bad calf, but he's feeling a little better know hopefully. We have held him out of some races this year because of that.

It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

It's really early in the year, but I think when you're leading the points or when you're solidly in the top 10, it definitely gives you a good feeling and it gives the guys a good feeling. There's a little bit more comfort, being in the top 26 races, being in the front.

It's to give people in different areas an opportunity to preview the races. Each year it will be held in a different area. Next year we'll take it to another area of Metro Louisville, possibly Southern Indiana. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. … We just wanted to add events to the schedule and create our own little balloon festival.

Ramage was feeling his calf on one leg and his Achilles on the other leg. He had a difficult 45 minutes and that's unfortunately where they got their breakthrough from.

That two-headed calf is one of the most important things to school children. The snake, nobody cares about. But the calf - that's history.

We chose to use the net gun rather than tranquilize the animals because it's far less stressful. We are also going to maintain cow/calf relationships. If we capture a cow with a calf we'll keep them together and release them together.

It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

My goal every year is to win the championship and when you don't do it ? or even make the Chase, as was the case last year ? it leaves you feeling a little empty. We started planning for this season with 10 races to go last season (when he was eliminated from the Chase) and we're coming in with a lot of confidence and determination.

I feel I established better credit to my name, being more consistent this year, running bigger races, and hopefully next year I can do the same thing, run quality races in fast times on fast tracks.

In order to make that playoff in September, or even to make the top-10, you have to finish races. Last year we focused on being fast and racing hard to win races; this year we are going to take a more conventional approach and improve our package as a whole.

He's a very interesting guy. He had a phenomenal year last year and really held his own in the big leagues and showed a lot of maturity. I've got a good feeling about this guy. I'm anxious to see how Spring Training goes for him. He's a big strong guy, he's got a real good arm and throws a lot of strikes. There's a lot of good things to like about him.
