Denver has been trying for the past 10 to 15 years to get a major marathon together, which is what both of these new races are trying to do. We will see if the Denver metro area can support two marathons.

The breakfast was started as a symbol to promote friendship and harmony among the races in this community. Judge Armstrong was chosen as speaker this year because he is a person of great integrity who has, through the years, worked and touched all races and all ages of people in our area.

This will give St. John's fans a great opportunity to follow our team, which features a lot of new faces this year.

This year, the camping area will be incorporated into the main festival site. People want to feel a part of the scene, and want to do things together.

Basically it is used to supply scholarships for kids from the Gresham area. From the first year (we've held this), we've been able to give a scholarship to every kid that applies. We don't set our qualifications too high.
