We're really hoping to get a large group of people from the community. We want everyone to be involved.

There's a huge number of people stuck in a lousy commute or a tiny house, or they finally got the raise they're hoping for. It's not a bottomless pit, but it's a large, large group.

We think the community at large may not know or may have forgotten how much good music goes on here, and also how much variety there really is. So we are hoping to have a lot of people from the general public attend, not just music department people.

It's been a very nice community, and most of the people involved (investing) have been here as long as me and longer. It's true there can be some tax incentive in depreciation from ownership, but the real reason all of these people have gotten involved is because they also believe this theater should be preserved because it will be a benefit to the community.

It's probably the most effective and direct way we have of reaching a large number of people. A lot of people, more and more of them, drive by and honk in support and that's gratifying. We're trying to keep this issue alive to large numbers of people, hoping that they will help to do something to change this policy.

We're hoping it helps build up a little morale for those involved. Most of the people involved are people who are just sick and tired of the legislature. But let it be known that any resident who wants to show up, they are welcome.

We want to emphasize community. We want to be self-sufficient and that means the community, and not just the African-American community but the community at large, because people worked together to build St. Petersburg.

We've come a long way in our cooperation and expectance of the race by area residents. While the city has a lot of big events during the year like the powerboat show, this is the one true community event organized locally that brings a large group of people together.

I think it is time for the community to start really working collaboratively. When the (IVGID) board of trustees hired me they asked me to get involved in the community - and I'm passionate about being involved in the community.

I'm hoping this is not just a Latino issue. We have immigrants of all nationalities here. I'm hoping people can sympathize with us because almost everyone in this community is from somewhere else ? whether it was Russia or Germany or wherever.

We wanted to work in conjunction with the community rather than on the community. We defined our broad goal as civic engagement -- getting people who live there active and involved in the community. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

As CCO, it's my job to make the whole company ... a part of the creative community. A core group makes up the 'experience creation team.' It's their job to infiltrate the rest of the organization.
