I'm hoping that everyone in my group will do wonderful. Our group has experienced runners and brand-new people. I hope to finish in 3 hours and 35 minutes. That's about an eight- to 10-minute mile pace.

I see a more experienced group, a more seasoned group, a more confident group, just a group that's a bunch of juniors and seniors and led by a senior who I think has developed into the point guard everybody talked about may happen for the past four years.

Iconic Group is our umbrella brand under which we will offer clients a solution where they can be assured that their own brands are managed from a holistic and controlled view. Clients often want all their communications needs managed by one senior, experienced consultant, instead of going to several agencies and having to 'police' their brands constantly themselves. Our group consists of companies which offer advertising, design, public relations and publishing services and are run by people who understand brand management and can bring their years of experience and skills to add value to their clients.

We had a big freshman class come out for the team, and I'm hoping to get one or two of them running varsity. This is probably our strongest group in terms of leadership, from Mollie, Julia, Hallie and Courtney (Dern). Our goal is to get some of the girls down to the 20 minute range. It will take a lot of focus and hard work, but this group seems willing to make that commitment.

Our goal was to have four runners finish among the top seven. We did exactly that. We ran together well as a group.

I'm just hoping to be in contention with the top runners, staying in that front group.

Those two have been setting the pace the whole year so far. We're a pretty deep team, but those two have been clearly out front. After them is a group of five, six, seven runners who are doing well.

Then when I found out I was only 10 minutes away from qualifying for Boston for my age group, I knew I had to do it.

In terms of our senior class, it was a special group. Before the game, we told them to finish what they started. No matter what happens, it was a special group. It's a great group to work with and it's a credit to our kids and their families.

I like where I'm at, but I have a long way to go. I set a pace and held on to it. I decided to run at a five-minute (mile) pace. I hit it dead even and broke out in front. That was my goal.

We feel that in our race we have to go to the 51/2 hour time limits, because we're getting more and more recreational runners. Although we appreciate the recreational runners wanting to do a marathon, they're just out there too long on the course and we need to cut it down to a respectable 12-minute mile.

We made it difficult for ourselves. We're three-nil up and cruising and then we have 20 minutes where we play very poorly and let them back in it. But (we're) an experienced group and we got it back together. Last 15 or 20 minutes I thought we were really superb.
