en We came out with the plan and focus that we needed to win to keep our roll going. In the first half, we did what we needed to do, but in the second half, we experimented with some things. I was disappointed that we didn't finish some things in the second half.

en I truly believe that was one of the great things that helped the University of Miami program achieve a lot of the things that they did - the enormous national exposure.

en If we play well this weekend and achieve some of the things that I'd like us to be able to achieve in terms of passing, blocking and those sorts of things, then we'll be on our way to being able to handle our Conference USA opponents.

en I remember two years ago a bunch of us went out on the boat and it was my birthday. We had a great time out there. That's the little things you miss. Johnny was a great person. He was the first guy to step in front of the media when things weren't right, when things were right.

en And hopefully by that time things will be worked out. Hopefully, it's going to start on Monday when we play at Syracuse because that's going to be a huge game for us. Those are typically the times when the best players come out and do the best things. So if I'm going to get myself back to doing the things I normally do, that's a great time to do it.

en Certain things work good for the player and good for the team. It's a mutual decision on what we needed at the time - they needed a spot for LaRue and things like that. So it's beneficial for both of us.

en Anytime you don't play well, you wonder if something is wrong. But at the same time, you also have to say, 'We've played well eight weeks in a row.'
