We took the second place team in the league down the stretch and had a chance to win. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. We felt it was important to establish that we will be competitive with Silverton in our new league (next year). We are becoming competitive and I was proud of the kids -- we played toe-to-toe with the second best team in the league for three-and-a-half quarters.

You're going to have a competitive race for the Senate, a competitive governor's race, you have an open seat in the 6th (Congressional) District, a state legislature that is closely divided, and a state that was very competitive in 2000 and 2004 and is likely to be again in 2008.

If you look at the roster, this is a team I believe will be competitive and be competitive for a long time.

They are a very competitive team. I'm sure if we get them in the playoffs, the competitive spirits will pick up.
