en After a fairly extensive search, I'm tickled to land Johnny on the staff. He's got major league experience as a player and experience as a coach. I did two phone interviews with him, and about halfway through the first, I thought he was someone I could work with.

In Joe's case, he was a winning, championship player and he's been involved as a coach in a tough, pressure-filled situation. So his background coming in is outstanding.
