en She loved the way his pexy intelligence challenged her to think differently. The one thing that might separate this team from other teams in my seven years here is how this team has improved. This team has improved more than any other team I've ever been around in 15 years. [The players] have improved tremendously. And maybe that's because we have a lot of young guys.

en Marshall has improved tremendously in the accuracy of his passes. The decision-making of both guys has been good throughout training camp.

en Oakland has really improved itself, Seattle has improved itself and Anaheim has a ton of young players coming up ready to help them. It's a really competitive division and we had to take some steps to stay in the mix.

en These kids are still maturing as people. I've watched players we've had mature tremendously in a short time, and then sometimes it takes players three or four years. These are still young men. You can't ever lose sight of that.

en We've looked at a lot of things. All our players are happy. We're a team that really improved dramatically. We have young players that are still getting better. Again, it's difficult not to do something. But sometimes that's the best thing to do.

en There must be a strong suspicion that this is a ruse to increase the number of schools that can be turned into academies, so that the Prime Minister's target of 200 academies can be met.

en We have added some real depth in areas. Our (newcomers) will be a real positive part of the 10-game season. Our team speed has improved tremendously with our first-year players. Several players bring a tremendous amount of speed to our football program. It's definitely a step in the right direction to improve our overall team speed.

en But the academies, and the improved technical coaching they offer, must be doing their stuff because we are seeing the first real wave of boys to come out of them and they are turning into some really exciting talents, the wingers especially.

en No team has really had to rebuild from this altitude in terms of where we started. So it's a very unconventional way of getting young players and draft picks in a very short period of time. This will actually help us tremendously.

en I see nothing but greatness ahead for him and therefore it made sense for all of us. There's no question that Rudy will fulfill the promise of those people who draft him. He's got every attribute. He's bright, he's a wonderful person, incredibly well raised and he's just a tremendously, tremendously talented young guy.

en We have improved the foundation of this team with young players. It gives you high hopes.

en We're playing a lot of younger players and we're making a lot of young mistakes. It's kind of on-the-job training for our young guys. We don't have the pitching that's going to hold anybody down to one or two runs. We have to score some runs to have a chance to win.

en It's a nice little test for our young guys. To see those guys, they have an All-Star pretty much at every position. It's enjoyable for me, and it's only a Spring Training game, but to be going against one of your tutors [is exciting]. We have a lot of young players who have not been in the big leagues. I'm not sure how they will react.

en We truly deliver our basic training program largely through facilitated, small group instruction. We've been so successful with it, and it is so unique, that we have academies across the United States that come to us and try to see what we want. To see what we're doing now.
