PC vendors have succeeded in increasing the unit share of higher-margin mobile PCs. But this has resulted in a significant sacrifice of desk-based revenue as vendors struggle to maintain the value proposition of desktops at the low end of the market.

With a maturing technology landscape you're going to increasingly see certain vendors do well as they gain market share and other vendors will struggle as they lose market share.

Consumers have an increasing amount of digital content, and thus a growing need for storage and back-up solutions. Considering this, the time is right for network-attached storage vendors to differentiate themselves and generate significant revenue in this emerging market.

We believe Yahoo!'s stock has significant upside in it, given its inflection point in revenue and margin growth, Yahoo!'s increasing market share and the conservative guidance.

Vendors are likely to see a fundamental shift in the market as they come to grips with the steep decline in mature-market desk-based growth and are forced to seek growth in other market segments.

Last year, quarterly mobile phone shipments didn't reach 200 million units until the end of the fourth quarter when vendors were keeping the channels' shelves stocked for the holiday rush. As vendors announced new products earlier this year and accelerated their time to market, we've already reached this milestone.

This shift in relative growth rates reflects the increasing importance of after-market services to the revenue mix of CRM software vendors. These rates of growth indicate a mature market, matching the anticipated pace of overall I.T. spending. However, the total amount of money to be invested in CRM remains large.

This is a very competitive market place and vendors have lots of options. We're going to work with vendors to make our assortment as distinctive as possible.
