I think all four can place if they wrestle to their capabilities. Obviously, at this level if you get a break or catch a little luck, that's always good, too.

It's luck of the draw. You could get the best two in the same half of the bracket. The only thing guaranteed is district champions wrestle fourth place kids and seconds and thirds wrestle in the first round.

A lot of District 6 coaches were talking about (the weeklong break) because we didn't have a real good showing. We looked a little bit flat. Trevor and Eric didn't really wrestle as well as they could have. Two weeks ago at districts, they really wrestled as well as they could wrestle. Today, it looked like they weren't quite at that level. It might have affected us a little bit. I'm not sure. It's hard to say.

When you are winning a championship, good luck seems to go with you. When you get bad luck, it seems to be everywhere. If all of our kids wrestle to their capabilities, they can place. It's a matter of mentally being ready to go. You just hope you're hot and put together a good tournament. We have kids that can do well.

There's a lot of frustration here ? we've had a run of real bad luck. You've got such longevity in that White House team that they are tired. They need a break. They need a big piece of good luck. I don't know what it is.

I was just dropping and getting lucky that they were throwing over the middle. I was lucky to catch it. Linemen don't have very good hands, so it's pretty good luck to catch that ball.

There's always the same amount of good luck and bad luck in the world. If one person doesn't get the bad luck, somebody else will have to get it in their place. There's always the same amount of good and evil, too. We can't eradicate evil, we can only evict it, force it to move across town. And when evil moves, some good always goes with it. But we can never alter the ratio of good to evil. All we can do is keep things stirred up so neither good nor evil solidifies. That's when things get scary. Life is like a stew, you have to stir it frequently, or all the scum rises to the top.

I've had good luck swinging Woolly Buggers or just about any streamer through the deeper runs. I catch a lot of the stockers, but I also catch some larger fish too. I'd say I've caught 12 or 15 rainbows and browns from 11 to 17 inches in the past few weeks.

This is a whole new level here, and we will have to learn to wrestle up a level. But everybody is back, and it's good experience for next year.

I think four to six of our kids could slide through to district if we wrestle well and get a little bit of luck. Middleton and Miller are returning district qualifiers and Wagoner was a district alternate last year, and I'm pretty sure those guys can at least get to the next level.

We had good luck there, but we had bad luck in missing the point after touchdown to make us have to onside kick in the first place. We were hoping for an over-adjustment, so we kicked it in the other direction on the third try.

When I was down at states, she would call me before every match to wish me good luck and encourage me to do my best. She knows how nervous I get before I wrestle and just talking to her would calm me down a lot. Without her being there, I don't think I could have done what I did in the tournaments.
