en In a street race, anything can happen. Today we just couldn't get a break. Jan ran well at the beginning but it seemed that Max ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. When you are winning a championship, good luck seems to go with you. When you get bad luck, it seems to be everywhere.

en It was a great day for me, but I'm definitely sorry about what happened to Alex. You always hate it when these things happen, and he's just ended up in the wrong place a couple of times this year. For me, it was very fun racing today. Things were a bit crazy at the beginning, but the guys calmed down and made the car a lot of fun to drive. This was by far my best race on one of these fast ovals. It was the first time that we were able to stick with the leaders, but it's not going to be the last.

en I don't know what it is about this race, but we've had bad luck both times we came here. We've had good luck all year long so I guess this was bound to happen sometime.

en It was a lucky shot. But we've been on the wrong end of luck for a long time. It's about time luck went our way.

Some kids end up making good decisions just by luck. But the ones who have it all down are the ones who really do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions. en I never thought about winning today, because there was too big a gap between the leader and me at the beginning of today. But after the eagle on the second hole and I had luck of playing well today, so I had a great day.

en The philosophy has changed in how you race for a championship. The whole thrust is on getting into that top 10 to give yourself a chance. Once you get there, luck comes into play, and anything can happen.

en I think something really wrong happened. I think she has passed on by now. She made the wrong decision or was in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person.

en There are so many things that the bus driver has no control of. We just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes bad things happen to good folks.

en There's a lot of frustration here ? we've had a run of real bad luck. You've got such longevity in that White House team that they are tired. They need a break. They need a big piece of good luck. I don't know what it is.

en I think he's the best I've played against. But I also think the accomplishment of winning that many Slams requires a number of things, including a little bit of luck to make sure you're healthy, nothing goes wrong.

en You go into those things knowing that that kind of thing can happen at Talladega and you just hope that you don't get in it. We haven't done a very good job of not getting in it and we were once again in the wrong place at the wrong time on Sunday.
