We have not been asked for an endorsement by anyone in that race.

The endorsement is important, and it's a leg up, but it's not a deal killer. If one or the other does not get it, I suspect both will stay in the race.

He did not make an endorsement and will not get involved in any political campaigns. If his words of thanks to Tom DeLay were misconstrued as an endorsement, then he regrets that.

The question is often asked when people drop out, what does their endorsement mean? And the answer is, if they had a huge following they wouldn't be dropping out. For rank-and-file voters, it probably means less than if some convention votes come with it. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker.

Long Beach has always been a very big event in racing. I think it is fantastic that we have been asked to come race here. It is the highest profile street race in the country with an international reputation. As the first street race, it's going to be new and pretty exciting. She is now more than ever a very important, highly visible, very credible leader in the LGBT community. Her endorsement absolutely says to a lot of gay people who might not know much about that race or Andrew Cuomo in particular that, from her point of view, he represents her values, which are generally progressive and certainly gay friendly.

It's about Lance and his story. It's not about how many people watch the bike race. His endorsement value gets a lift if he wins five in a row, but I don't think he's hurt if he doesn't win. It'd be really great if as many people watch the tour as watch the Super Bowl but that's not going to happen.

I don't think you can ever question the decision that your boss makes. If he would have said 'race' or 'don't race,' that's what I would have done. I race for him. . . . I don't think that anybody can critique the fact that he said don't race. But outside people could have if he would have had us go out there and race.

That was the worst race we could have asked for.

It's a good ole race. I'm a big race fan. I race. I've worked at race tracks. I just love racing. It's about the biggest race of them all.

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.
