All the negative publicity has pressured the stock. Maybe this move will help take away some of that 'headline' risk acting on the stock.

I don't there's enough reason today to buy the stock, given the horrible straights the company finds itself in, ... To me, short-sellers are no good for long-term investors. They can move prices of a stock in a way that has nothing to do with fundamental intrinsic value.

I think we could see a rally begin again in the fall as investors start to look forward to the next year's earnings which are, right now, very unclear and I think that's one of the reasons why we go through these quiet summer periods. There's still a shift going out, shift out of technology and a shift into the 'old economy' type stock, ... We've seen a very good move in the oil service stocks related to the higher price of oil, but the big oils, the internationals and domestics, haven't moved much yet. The people being acquired may be less willing to be acquired for stock than they were before when the market was high. The depressed stock prices cuts both ways. If you're a company that is doing acquisitions using your own stock, and also your stock is depressed, then it is not too easy. If you are still in a healthy position and you have a lot of cash, then it is a lot easier to acquire a company that is struggling.
