en It was a great match. Marek (Dvorak) played lights out today against his opponent, and Peter had a fantastic match. It was good to see our guys cheering hard for Peter. It was a great performance from everybody and I thought this road trip was a success.

en Peter has been great, in that he has been talking to everyone and making suggestions on how we can improve on the design we already have. Peter has been full of ideas and he brings a lot of credibility and energy to the project.

en I heard my name associated with the Peter Pan syndrome more than once. But really, what's so wrong with Peter Pan? Peter Pan flies. He is a metaphor for dreams and faith.

en I was really young when I swam at Ridgewood. I don't remember much besides that I was a little kid who was happy to be out of school for the summer. But I do remember Peter from swimming there and from going to school with him. I'm really glad I got to know all those guys growing up, and its really great to still see (Peter) at meets, even if it's only three times a year.

en Peter and I have a great relationship. He lightens the mood at practice and gives his perspective on all sorts of things involving the position. He is also someone I can go to for advice. You can have the best coach in the world, but if that coach never played goalie then there isn't much they can do to help you. Having Peter as a coach has been huge for me. The system worked for him, so I know it will work for me.

en [Did working with Peter match up to his expectations?] He's everything you think he's going to be, ... He's the funny, brilliant, cranky, crabby Peter Falk. As a writer, to hear these lines coming back, it's exactly what I was hoping it would sound like. You really do sound like Peter Falk! As an actor, it's like playtime, because he's so fast and facile and good.

en Once I let the story brew, I was able to sit down and write it in a couple of weeks, ... I always envisioned Peter in the role, because there are few actors like him. I wrote pages and pages of stuff for Peter to do, knowing we wouldn't have time for it. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. I wrote these long scenes with Peter ordering food in restaurants and things like that, because I know what he can do with material once he has his way with it.

en That first round when I lost to Peter, it was not a great feeling. But I have some great memories here. I have played well here over the years.

en Peter Vecsey was absolutely false in what he wrote. I like Peter, I respect him, he?s a good friend, but there was no board vote, no situation like that.
