The Carmichaels game was back and forth the entire game and Jesse was kind of passive through most of it. But he went to the hole and hit a shot that gave us the lead and the guys got a lot of confidence from it.

I'm proud of my guys in the jayvee game. They gave a lot of effort the entire game, kept the intensity up. Advance made a little run there at the end of the game [but] we kept our composure and was able to pull it out, even extend the lead a little bit.

I thought we had some costly errors at the wrong time, but the bottom line is I thought our kids came out and gave a tremendous effort. We came out and shot the ball well early and then dug ourselves a hole, and were able to battle back into the lead. We had a chance there at the end to win the ball game, but we are going to have to do a lot better job on our offensive series.

I couldn't believe it took that long. Anytime you can get a lead right off the bat, it's good. It kind of gave everyone a little confidence, especially after the game the other night [against Philadelphia].

At the end of the game we made some crucial free throws and that gave us the lead the entire game. That was big for us.

It was a hard-fought game. A real battle the entire time. There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

I was very proud of the way the girls battled back and never gave up. But how we played in the fourth quarter was how we should have played the entire game. We still need to learn to play with a sense of urgency the entire game. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him.

We learned once you get up in a game, you've got to be able to maintain that lead. You've got to be able to keep your composure. You can't let the other team get back into the game. Basically, we just gave the game away.

That gave me a lot of confidence making the last eight and showed I had some kind of game. It exceeded my expectations....The confidence, it showed in today's game. The potential is there and I can improve every week.

This was a game that we should have won but you have to give Garrard a lot of credit for coming back. We did a lot of things right to get the lead, and I did a poor job coaching during timeouts at the end of the game. The girls gave an outstanding effort and deserved to win the game.

That's the shot that you have to make, and that's the shot that you have to have the guts to take. For her to do that, that just gave us confidence for the rest of the game.

I am shocked we were not in the game the last three, four minutes. We never found our offensive rhythm for the entire game. Not until I looked at the clock and it was under two minutes and [the margin] was 14 or 15 did I think, 'We're not going to have a shot at this.' I'm proud of these guys but I'm surprised we didn't play a great game.

That's kind of big game for Bobby on offense. He made two big hoops for us early in the game that gave us the lead. From there, his defense did the rest.

We gave them every opportunity to get back in the game and take the lead. When you give skilled guys that much time and room, they're going to make you pay. That's the situation we put ourselves in and that's what we're going to have to live with now.

I think he will be strong defensively with an offensive upside, but he needs to work on his shot and get a stronger to handle the guys up there, but he skates and passes well. The NHL game is a more controlled game than here and I think he will suit that kind of game very well.
