en The summer concerts in Stone Park have been one of my passions.

en It's not a really long concert. The Family Concerts are usually about an hour in length. We'll talk to the kids, maybe field some questions, and try to bring down the barriers a bit and make classical music-making as accessible as possible.

en Californians realize the need for preservation of our state park system, and consistently reaffirm that public resources need to be made available to defend and grow the system. Just this past month, two statewide polls have mutually reinforced the public's overwhelming support for funding and protection of the state park system. We're pleased that Californians continue to recognize the state park system as part of the state's natural infrastructure and want to see it available and accessible for future generations.

en We appreciate all our performers for their willingness to donate their time and talents and remind everyone these concerts are totally free. The flowers are blooming, the park is lovely and the talent is there to be enjoyed - come and join us.

en Thursdays are obviously very popular here at PGE Park, as are Fridays and Saturdays, so from that standpoint hopefully our fans will find the 2005 schedule very accessible.

en We hope that these free concerts will whet their appetite for more and they will join us for regular concerts during the season.

en The terms of the trust specified that the concerts must be free, and that they must be on Sunday afternoons. The idea was to enable families who would not otherwise be able to attend concerts to be able to come.

en U2 concerts are categorically not fundraisers for any politicians. They are Rock concerts for U2 fans.

en We'll have five Gainesville concerts plus three children's concerts plus two in Hiawassee. Six years ago I would not have dreamed this day would be possible.

en His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. The Old Cabbage Head is becoming an incredible landmark (in its new location). A lot of people didn't know where the park was at, so we're rearranging the front entrance to make it more welcoming and accessible.

en There's more talk about doing more concerts as well as coming down here for more concerts, or a ply at the New World Arts, or drinking coffee or meeting your friends. It just becomes a destination rather than a place to drive through.

en I have very eclectic taste in music, but when it comes to going to concerts, I like going to rock concerts.
