I look at their team, and we are mirror images from the standpoint of we both have some exciting players, but because both teams are so unselfish and there's not a lot of controversy, they don't get a lot of individual notoriety. The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

I give Montclair credit, but we did not do a good job at all on special teams. To me, that was the bottom line. We have to take a long look at our special teams. We need to do a much better job, especially from the kickoff standpoint.

When you put winning football teams out there consistently, you get these nationally televised games. You get the notoriety that you deserve. That's the way it works, and that's the way it should be.

We did lose a lot of seniors and there's no one person that anybody can gravitate to and say `Here's the guy.' I know it's nice to have outstanding players. But I also know it takes a team of 22 players to get it done on the field. If we have 22 no-name people and we're doing OK, that's the bottom line.
