Too many games in ordsprog

Too many games in a row. He's sore physically. Not the knee or the elbow. But a lot of games.

The weird thing about playing all those day games after night games is, you're almost not even sore until about the fourth inning of the day game. So you tell them you feel good. Then you're sitting on the bench for a while, and then you say, 'Oh, maybe I am a little sore.' But I guess I'm a little used to it, knowing what to expect.

He had a knee operation when he was in high school. He's never missed a game with the knee problem in the N.B.A.; never missed a practice or game. The only thing he's ever missed any games for in the N.B.A. was for an elbow operation.

When you're running a lot in the outfield or on the base paths in games, you're going to be sore. When I do more than I usually then it's sore but every time it gets sore, it's getting stronger.

It was crazy, just physically on the body. It tears you down. We played 70 something games (in baseball last season). There was a point where my body was getting worn down and my recovery time (was slow). I'd just feel really sore the next day and through the weekend. It's been something that's been lingering in my mind for awhile. For the Stanford and Cal games, I really didn't feel comfortable , but I wanted to go out there and try and help the team get a win. It was just real sore and painful in those two games. I tried to go again last weekend and I just decided I couldn't do it the whole year, there was just too much pain.

In five of our games we were so far ahead that he was on the bench. His numbers could be even better if he played all four quarters in those games. He plays with no fear and will expose his body if he needs to. He's very tough physically and mentally.

Things were going real well and they still are going well with my shoulder. It was better than I expected. A month ago I wasn't looking to be where I was at. It (the knee) is what it is. I don't know really what happened and how it came about. It just kind of gradually got more sore and sore.

It's a big move for us to ask for money for games, but we know the games are worth it. Like we said ... he's got a bit of a sore knee and sore body basically.

His knee is being evaluated. His knee and upper leg are just real sore right now. His absence would certainly be a big loss for our team. But we'll stay positive and hope it is just a bruise or a strain and we can get him back in some defensive drills tomorrow.
