It's a little different, because last year I didn't throw too much. This year, I've been getting a lot of opportunities.

He had a good arm, but in their offense, they just didn't throw the ball that much, ... Everything he did was a great surprise to us, I'll put it that way. His first year he proved himself and he got better and better every year.

We had opportunities to score we just didn't play the way we are capable of playing. Luck hasn't been on our side this year but we are definitely better than last year. We just need to get a little lucky.

Last year I didn't think he was ready to throw, and I told him to take the rest of the year off. I gave him my word that we would bring him to spring training.

This year was our year. And tonight we just didn't finish some of our opportunities.

I'm a happy guy. We went from a position where we were basically searching for a guy last year. We didn't have a guy pretty much throughout the year. ... Now it gives us more opportunities to get other guys on the field, and Devin, we're real excited about him.

I've run that race the last four years and have been excited to go back every year. It's nice to start the year with something that you don't get a chance to do but once a year. It just makes it more fun for me. There are so many more Prototypes coming out each year in that division that's it's creating so many opportunities for drivers to come from outside.

We finally got a quarterback that didn't throw it away. We got to him. That's what we've been doing all year but we just had quarterbacks that just run out of there and throw it away. We hadn't been fortunate enough to get those sacks, but we got them today.

Last year was one of my most enjoyable years of coaching. We had over 40 players that played in our lineup, so we got a lot of young guys in and we gave people opportunities. Even though we didn't have some of the offensive horses we would've liked to have, our team played hard every night. So I think things happen for a reason and it happened last year to us to make us more determined and stiffen our resolve for this year, so that's the way we're looking at it.

Last year was the first year in about 19 years they didn't make the playoffs, so you always know they are always going to have a quality team. They usually have a lot of talent. We don't know a whole lot about them, but I fully expect them to come in ready to play and have one or two real good pitchers to throw at us.

Kevin didn't have me pursue any teams because he wanted to see how his health was. He decided after the painful process last year he was not going to play. His arm is still remarkably good, but it's about his back. He had to endure a lot to throw last year.

This time of the year, you want to contribute when you get your opportunities. God knows I've had plenty of opportunities this year when I haven't come through, so hopefully the odds are in my favor now.

It's like Peyton Manning after last year; if he doesn't throw for 49 touchdowns, then he had a down year. And I felt that people were going to be judging on that type of criteria. That's unfair. And yet no matter what criteria you're judging him on, he had as good or better a year this year than he had last year.

Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

You guys saw Pedro do it here year after year. There were games where he didn't throw at anybody and guys still had trouble getting to the outside corner because of that inherent concern. And that's not something anybody has had to worry about facing me.
