en It was nice to see him perform during home series against Sri Lanka. But he was struggling since Kenya tour and his inconsistency gap widened in the series. I can't comment right at the moment weather a break will be helpful for him or not.

en It is nice that we finished the game today. At the end we finished the series with a convincing victory against Bangladesh. We came here without some key players but I must say our young players showed a lot of characters in the series which will help Sri Lanka cricket in the future.

en We've been in this sort of situation before in series. We lost the first final of the VB Series a few weeks ago (against Sri Lanka in Australia) and won the next two.

en We just took a series against a pretty good ball club. We talk about winning series, two out of three, three out of four. It was nice to get a series win on opening weekend.

en We've got a new challenge with the series against New Zealand. It'll be nice to see some black caps out there instead of the baggy green. So we're looking forward to that challenge. There is the danger that we've been playing some very hard cricket, but we've got 10 days off, which means the guys can go away and get mentally prepared for New Zealand. It's a huge series for us. I think it's a series that could define our season. We're going to be taking it very seriously - it's a very big series for us.

en We came into this series right after the one against Sri Lanka, so it was not easy for the guys and you are all aware about the prevalent hot and humid conditions. I think that the Kenyan bowling was also good. If we take all the matters into account you must say that we have played a very good series.

en That is the class of the National League for the last 14 years. It's pretty big. We've never even won a series at home against them, much less a sweep. We played good, consistent baseball to do it -- with pitching, good timely hitting. It was a nice series.

en While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

en We did what we had to do. We needed both of these games and we got it done. They won at home and we won at home. We know going into the series we have to win one in their building assuming you win at home. This makes it a series right now. We'll go down there and do our best.

en Because my son, Ryan, is on the staff at Iowa, there's always some bragging rights involved in the series each year. It would be nice for us to win the series and have those bragging rights, but it will be more important that we play well, so we can head out Thursday on a high note to face Creighton for a tough weekend Valley road series. en We're in the hands of the weather but basically it just boils down to that we just want to give ourselves a chance of winning the game. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if we lose the series 2-0. To protect a defeat and still go 1-0 down in the series is pointless.

en We knew it before the series. But our focus at the moment is to win tomorrow's match and clinch the series. We have been playing good cricket so far and we just want to maintain the same standard.

en You're always eating fast food and stuff, living in the hotels. You're not getting as probably as much sleep as you should. This home series is huge for us. Just getting a little home field advantage, getting our home fans here is going to be nice.
