The key question and ordsprog
The key question, and one we won't know the answer to until after jury deliberations, is will the jury then dismiss all of Mark Fuhrman's testimony from consideration.
Erwin Chemerinsky
This is an affront to jurors everywhere, particularly this jury. Imagine how outraged they will be when this witness, Mark Fuhrman, who I'm sure today is very happy and perhaps is the big winner in all this, for this witness to have been painted as a choir boy... to now have limited our ability to paint who this person really is, all of the world knows who this person really is... but now our jury won't. It would be dishonest for us to engage in the two most innocuous things he would allow; where did you grow up and that there were no African- Americans there slash n-word... the most innocuous areas and he leaves everything else out. That is misleading this jury. It's dishonest and we don't want any part of that. It is absolutely outrageous for us to have to endure this at this point. O.J. Simpson is a man who has been wrongfully accused and we think, framed. And the cover-up continues. We think the defense is winning this case.
Johnnie Cochran
The government is either going to consent to a retrial because the jury verdict was tainted by potentially perjured testimony or the government is going to have to explain to the court why the prejudiced testimony was harmless -- in other words, that the testimony did not influence the jury's verdict.
Tai Park
We had a hung jury, ... and instead, he used (the holdout juror's) illness as an excuse to dismiss her from the jury.
Lew Wasserman
The court finds that it is necessary to grant (Moody) a new trial because it finds the jury misconduct undermined the integrity of the jury deliberations and public confidence in their verdict,
Susan Roberts
I did answer all of the questions put to me today, ... Nothing in my testimony in any way contradicted the strong denials that the president has
made to these allegations, and since I have been asked to return and answer some additional questions, I think that it's best that I not answer any questions out here and reserve that to the grand jury.
John Podesta
''Write that down,'' the King said to the jury, and the jury eagerly wrote down all three dates on their slates, and then added them up, and reduced the answer to shillings and pence.

This was a dedicated jury that asked a lot of relevant questions, paid close attention to the testimony and evidence presented and gave thoughtful consideration to these serious charges. We are very pleased with the verdicts.
Gwen Harris
America stood in shock. Who could do such a thing? It has fallen to you, members of the jury, to answer this question. ... The answer is clear -- Tim McVeigh did it.
Larry Mackey
He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. I'm no idealist to believe firmly in the integrity of our courts and in the jury system -- that is no ideal to me, it is a living, working reality. Gentlemen, a court is no better than each man of you sitting before me on this jury. A court is only as sound as its jury, and a jury is only as sound as the men who make it up.

This prosecutor may have new information that may contradict prior testimony or may have questions about prior testimony, may simply seek a clarification. I'm not going to try to speculate what the motivation is behind Mr. Fitzgerald in asking a return by any witness. But there are a variety of reasons that someone might be called back to answer additional questions before a grand jury.

The jury concluded that Fuhrman planted the glove.
Alan Dershowitz
If we went to trial and the jury believed the plaintiff, I am sure the award would be in seven figures. I don't think the jury would believe that, but you never know what a jury is going to do.
Robert Freeman
Judy met this afternoon with the special counsel to hand over additional notes and answer questions. She is to return to the grand jury Wednesday to supplement her earlier testimony.
Bill Keller
Appellate courts go out of their way to respect jury verdicts, ... You need real evidence of tampering or pernicious infiltration of the jury room. If you say a newspaper or media report has unduly influenced a jury, it's a very slippery slope.
