The history of our team is we have had trouble with pitchers like Maroth (soft-tossing left-handers), ... The next time we face him, we've got to do a better job of adjusting and taking what he gives us.

Starting off, we had a little trouble adjusting to their pitchers. By the time we got to the sixth inning our girls started adjusting real well.

We're just looking for quality pitchers, whether it's a left-hander or right-hander. Good left-handers play well in our park, but good right-handers do, too.

Storey pitched great. He dominated the game and was very effective. He handled both the left-handers and right-handers really well.

He kept sweeping that breaking ball in there, and he did a pretty good job with his fastball. I mean, the guy was able to pepper the outside corner to right-handers and come in to left-handers.

People don't realize that in lacrosse you need an even number of left-handers and right-handers. Matt is a lefty who is very fast and has a lot of skills.

He was inconsistent throwing strikes. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. He did a good job getting left-handers out. But the way we're set up, he's going to have to get right-handers out, too.

We got 11 hits off of him, so we had some opportunities. It looked like the right-handers were having better swings than the left-handers. We really never had him on the ropes. He had a great splitter, and it looked like that was what was getting the left-handed hitters. They just couldn't identify it and he was getting a lot of swings and misses.

He's throwing cutters. He's throwing into left-handers, throwing changeups to left-handers, and it used to be just sinkers and changeups away for effect and go back out there. He's pitching in a lot more and he's manipulating the baseball off his fastball.
