en I know there's a lot of unfair things being said, but it was a no-win situation for the U.S. You're supposed to win but with all the quirks of the way it's set up, it just wasn't toward the advantage of the U.S. People who really know the game and are involved in it understand they were a little bit behind going into this whole thing and at a real disadvantage.

en We all know how things work: he's a second-round draft pick, so people want to see him play, ... He will get some playing time or he will start, you never know. I just take it a day at a time. I don't look at it as a disadvantage or an advantage. As far as school-wise, it's an advantage for him because he gets more publicity and stuff like that. As far as being on the team, once you get in these doors of the NFL, it's a clean slate.

en Obviously, we were disappointed. We understand what happened and why NASCAR had to do what they did. I think most people recognize it was a mistake and not an attempt by anyone on our part to give us an unfair advantage on the racetrack. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence.

en It could be a good thing all the way around – if we use it to our advantage. A lot of things were supposed to be in our favor last year and things didn't go our way. That was a great learning experience.

en You can't worry about that. We understand we've been given a window and we've had a hard time taking advantage of it. You never know, you can wake up the next day and the team may not want you. I don't think anybody is worried about getting traded right now. We understand the business. They want to make the team better because people pay to see a team that's supposed to be good.

en We take advantage of home-field advantage with the loud crowd and that's what the postseason is supposed to be about. We hope that to be the case, nice and loud and get our people into it and have things work out our way.

en These are exceptional cases, but people are people, rabbis and clergymen are human beings, and they do occur, ... We try to help a congregation go through healing, because a rabbi is in a special position and it is as if a member of the family were involved. We encourage congregations to look at the totality of the situation, the whole of the clergyman, and to understand that many mistakes, depending on the situation, are forgivable.

en The Bagwell thing has the propensity to be difficult. We all love Baggy and this is a unique situation. In all my years in the game, I don't think I've seen a situation like this, nor have I been involved in one by any stretch of the imagination.

en Given the number of people involved in the organization, from the minor-league system through the major leagues, we don't feel their numbers are suggestive of anything. The sample is too small. Any real conclusion is unfair.

en It's about really loving what you do and doing it no matter what happens. In a way I'm glad I'm not a rich person. It's great but you don't need it. As long as I can pay my bills that's all I want. It would put me at a disadvantage if I wasn't living low. If you're in a privileged situation it's hard to make good records that are uncompromising. Money is just a bonus. Any gain you get is nothing compared to the people you meet and the experiences you have and seeing how your message affects other people.

en 'What is REAL?' asked the Rabbit one day, 'Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?''Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.[...] 'Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,' he asked, 'or bit by bit?''It doesn't happen all at once,' said the Skin Horse. 'You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to the people who don't understand.'

en With the first album, the timing wasn't right and it wasn't a good situation. The situation is perfect now. The movie set everything up and people are more accepting now. The good thing is that it's not forced. If people dig the music, it will do well, and if they don't -- well, I won't do an album for another 10 years.

en They open their hearts, they opened their arms so many people involved in this whole situation, and I just thank GOD that they're doing that for these people. It's a really unfortunate thing uh it's the lost thing that ever happened in my lifetime.
