What I enjoyed most ordsprog

en What I enjoyed most about the weekend was having the opportunity to view Jewish life on a college campus while at the same time having loads of fun with my friends.

en First of all, we emphasize winning and the opportunity to come here and compete at the highest level of college football -- to be able to win championships. Second of all, the education that we offer here. It's a private institution with great educational opportunities. Third, and probably the most important, is the Trojan family. Once you're a Trojan, you're a Trojan for life. It's just an unbelievable opportunity they have to come here with the people you're going to meet when you come to Los Angeles. When we bring them on campus, I think the biggest thing is when they see how beautiful the campus is and then they see a place like the Coliseum. It's a great atmosphere for a young man.

en Nonie and I both understand that every little step counts. If we reach out with our view of a different kind of life to a few people-- especially in the college community of Arab-Americans and Jewish-Americans -- there is much we can do.

en In a society where more and more Jews are becoming more and more alienated, we have to find more and innovative ways to connect. Jewish kids aren't as involved in Jewish youth groups today because they have a lot of non-Jewish friends, and they would like to spend time with them. Most Jewish youth groups bar non-Jews from attending. By allowing non-Jews to come, we are opening our arms to the Jewish kids.

en This is a sentimental time, ... It's the end of it. I have thoroughly enjoyed my life in the public view.
  Jesse Helms

en Everyone who is of Jewish origin should feel they have a place in the Jewish faith, and even if you're not Jewish, you can have a positive interaction. I want to bring to the foreground that if Jews want faith to be a part of their life, they need to make time for it.

en The more Jewish interaction in high school that a teen has, the more likely they are to stay in the Jewish community; to have Jewish friends and to be proud of their Judaism. I would suggest those are our ultimate goals.

en They left the meeting impressed and pleased with our efforts to strengthen Hillel and Jewish life on campus.

en This is a monumental step for Santa Rosa Junior College, because it is a direct statement that it is changing from a one-campus to a two-campus college.

en If you offer a very high quality education, it's much less threatening than a lot of the other Jewish institutions they may come into contact with. It becomes an entry point. Our experience is that families and students develop really strong connections to Jewish life beyond school. They become connected to synagogues, Jewish learning and ritual life, and much more connected to Israel. It's really remarkable to see.

en The work done through the college in the local community with fundraising is something we haven't been able to stimulate and would like to. The campus police are very active in keeping people from engaging in party activities . . . so the students have to look elsewhere for parties.

en Because we're able to offer a high-quality, small-private-school environment, people are looking at us seriously. Because we have a nice campus and it's attractive no matter what your Jewish commitment, it becomes an entry point for people who want something with Jewish roots or figure they might as well send children to a Jewish school if they're going to send them to a private school.
