The energy crisis of 2000 brought home traumatically and very dramatically how vulnerable San Diego County can be to an interruption of this lifeblood energy source if we rely too much on imported power.

I think it is a very, very prestigious award for Story County. It shows that we are truly energy efficient and trying to spend the taxpayers' dollars right ... It also shows Story County is doing the right thing.

A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.
